CONTE KUERVO

Caw caw. I eat dead pixels for breakfast. Goofing around with silly little games, paper arts, and something with thread. Independent designer, artist, and writer. Find me @contekuervo on Tumblr.

About.

A very brief explanation of my pseudonym: "Conte" is French for a short story, based on the Latin word computare meaning 'reckon, sum up.' Kuervo is a mild play on the spelling of the word Cuervo in Spanish, meaning 'crow.'

I'm an artist and designer by trade with a fondness for storytelling and crows (if that isn't glaringly obvious by my chosen pseudonym). I've loved games since that day in 2000 when I borrowed my sister's GameBoy Color to play Frogger, so now I experiment with designing, building, and illustrating games in my free time. My undying passion for art and illustration also lead me to explore the fascinating realm of self-publishing via zines; I'm admittedly still somewhat new to the medium, but OH BOY do I like it! Mostly TTRPGs or little artsy-prose zines. I volunteer at various museums, and I'm published in a literary magazine.

Do I write fanfiction? Yes. I will never tell you where. I'm not that brave.

Do I have any pets? OOOOooooh, yes. I own many, many birds. One of these days, I'll get a dog. I promised myself I would, and I'll name them Jefe. That, or I'll get a trio of pet rats and carry 'em around in my pockets like a wierdo.

You can find me on Tumblr @contekuervo (and I'm trying to get better about posting/reblogging on there), and I'll also have a business Instagram and (perhaps) a Patreon in the near future available here. Still haven't decided if I should bother getting a Ko-Fi or not. Some people swear by it while others tell me it's a waste of time.
